About

THEIAMATIC SOCIETY

THEIA was the Titan goddess of sight (thea) and shining light of the clear blue sky.

Hi-Matic was the first Minolta camera to feature automatic exposure. It was a version of this camera that was taken into space by John Glenn in 1962.

Theiamatic Society is a collective of female photographers from various locals dedicated to the art of photography.

Every month we are assigned a different theme intended to challenge our perspectives and inspire us to explore new ways of expressing our worlds through the medium of photography. There are no rules, no guidelines, interpret as you will.

The society reaches throughout North America with members in many different cities including: New Orleans, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Austin Texis, The Virgin Islands, Minneapolis, and Massachusetts to name a few..
